In August 2016 Agosi received the confirmation of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in Helsinki that the company’s registration dossier for Agosi fine gold is in conformance with the corresponding legal requirements. Consequently, Agosi has been given the REACH registration No. 01-2120113095-69-0016 for fine gold.
REACH is a regulation of the European Union, adopted to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemical substances. REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals. Companies are responsible for the registration of substances they manufacture or import above one tonne a year. Without such a registration, a substance must neither be manufactured nor imported. In short: no data – no market.
